Welcome to the Governors' section!
My name is Ned Bowden and I have been a governor for over 15 years. I joined the governing body as a parent governor when my children were at the school. I wanted to work with staff to make the school
“a place where children grow and flourish”
which is how Ofsted described the school in 2006 at their last inspection report.
This motto is easy to say but it takes hard work, dedication and teamwork to achieve.
I am now chair of governors and I work with the team of governors listed below. Education is a partnership between school, community and home. Our governors are key to that partnership. We believe that all children deserve a broad, balanced education and all parents/carers should be encouraged to be as involved in their child’s learning to help accommodate individual need. As a governor I do all I can to promote this.
Our school actively encourages your involvement because every child matters. Your child is important to you, to us as governors and to the future of our community. Our school provides a haven where children can learn in a safe and happy atmosphere.
I am always happy to talk to parents and carers and can be contacted through the school.
